A few quick thoughts. This picture looks more autumnal than "hot". You might want to consider a different color scheme or even just running it through "Levels" in photoshop to brighten it up. I assume the woman's teeth are gritted because of the wind but the exagerated "cupid's bow" of her lips makes her look "rabbitish" and her companion isn't even squinting his eyes although he's facing directly into the wind.

Also there are a number of "squiggles" and seedpods which seem to be hanging vertically rather than blowing in the wind.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying that it's a dreadful picture, I'm trying to give constructive criticism.

thanks for the critique, i appreciate it. however, if you look at my other works, you will see that realism is not what i strive for. hence, a gust of hot wind in atumn cold, rabbity teeth, not-enough-squinted eyes are not so important. i really appreciate you taking your time though.
